The order Coleoptera includes beetles and weevils. The Coleoptera is th largest order of insects which contains 350,000 to 400,000 species. They usually have thick and stiff forewings called elytra that cover and protect the hindwings. They also have diverse feeding habits - the Tiger Beetles eat other smaller living insects, the Leaf Beetles eat the leaves of plants, and the Longhorn Beetles eat tree stems.
